Abstract:
Part 2 summarizes the in-service inspection provisions, experiences with the implementation of the provisions, and major problems encountered during the operation of nuclear power plants. The paper concludes with the discussion of various incidents and their implications for the post-tensioned structures and an assessment of the lessons learned, together with recommendations for improving the performance of prestressed concrete structures in nuclear facilities.
