Abstract:
It may not be as well-known or as large as the new major league baseball stadiums like Jacobs Field and Camden Yards, but the fans of the Rancho Cucamonga "Quakes" are just as proud of the facility in that California city as those of Cleveland and Baltimore. The new home of the California League entry, the San Diego Padres' Class A team, the 46,000 ft 2 grandstand stadium includes 4400 theater style seats, 12 "VIP" booths, home and visitor locker rooms, administrative offices, reception areas, three stories with penthouse, and 3000 ft 2 for service facilities. Concrete was used extensively throughout, enabling construction to be completed on time, despite a 3-month delay due to heavy Southern California rains.
