Abstract:
Describes the use of steel fiber mats in slurry-infiltrated concrete (SIFCON). The use of mats rather than discrete fibers increases flexural strength. Stainless steel or other alloys can be used for the mats where high corrosion resistance or high-temperature strength are required.
