Abstract:
Spun concrete poles are being used in increasing quantities throughout the world. Their applications include decorative street lighting, distribution poles, rail electrification, supports for high voltage transmission poles, communication towers, and wind turbine support structures. As the technology of concrete advances, environmental policies become more of an issue, construction lead times shorten, general awareness of this product increases, and the more attractive spun concrete will be as a material for poles.
