Abstract:
An experimental study of the behavior of post-tensioned unbonded concrete flat slabs is presented. Paper describes the testing of five model slabs that closely simulated an exterior panel in a real structure but at a reduced scale. It discusses the behavior at three stages: during transfer, under service conditions, and at ultimate load. The ultimate capacities are compared with current design provisions and modifications are recommended.
