Abstract:
Recent validation of NATO's semihardened shelter design that will resist the effects of a conventional weapons system proved that a less costly shelter design for air base facilities could be just as effective as the one currently in use. The testing of this design was done in two phases. Scale model structures were used first, and then a full-scale test took place. The tests are discussed in this article.
