Abstract:
Concrete is the only construction product that is manufactured in transit to the jobsite, and it is extremely vulnerable to the quality of the testing to which it is subjected. Improper testing practices unfairly penalize the concrete, the ready-mix producer, and the contractor. Attention to the details and procedures of the applicable ASTM procedures may increase a concrete's tested strengths because of better control of variables.
