Abstract:
A knowledge-based expert system for modeling the production of conventional concrete is described. The system has been developed to help improve the quality of concrete by minimizing mistakes and deficiencies in batching and mixing procedures. The knowledge and experience possessed by experts in the domain has been captured and stored in a computer as an expert system. The system gives advice to the user via a series of question and answer routines.
