Abstract:
Placed during cold weather, the floors at the 1.9 million ftý (176,500 mý) Subaru-Isuzu Assembly Plant achieved a remarkable degree of flatness and quality because of a unique approach that asked that all members of the construction team dedicate their effort to a predetermined standard of quality concrete slab-on-grade. In the process, the team proved that close tolerances and high quality could be achieved without a cost premium.
