Abstract:
Reviews rehabilitation concepts, evaluation methods, and strategies for performing options analysis and selecting the restoration option for rehabilitating deteriorated parking structures built using unbonded button-headed post-tensioning tendons. The lack of a preformed duct through the concrete (as provided in monostrand post-tensioning) and the fact that very little bonded conventional reinforcement was used in the unbonded button-headed post-tensioning system makes restoration of these structures necessarily different from that of other types of post-tensioned structures.
