Abstract:
Describes construction of a unique lakeside residential structure in which polypropylene fibers were used as secondary reinforcement in all concrete walls, floors, and piling to prevent intrusion of salt-laden moisture. The home was constructed of both precast and site-cast post-tensioned panels, and the rear wall has 880 ftý of windows to take advantage of the lakefront view.
