Abstract:
Reviews the basic assumptions (measurements are normally distributed random variables) of the F-number system for specifying and measuring floor flatness and levelness. Describes a simple statistical test for verifying the randomness of collected data. Reports the results of analysis of over 90 floor survey profiles that indicate that a majority of floor profiles do not pass the statistical test for randomness.
