Abstract:
Modern designers are introducing a more local and indigenous flavor into modern buildings so that they are more rooted in the soil out of which they grow. The innate versatility of concrete can adapt to this changing scene, contributing in its many forms to an astonishing variety of building types and expressions. A look at some recent examples of modern buildings in widely differing countries shows how this sympathetic architectural approach is being applied.
