Abstract:
A number of design problems are presented that relate to the design of anchorage to concrete, and that currently do not have satisfactory solutions. The design problems are examined to identify the aspects of behavior that they involve: for instance, the behavior of some kinds of drilled anchors, and the effects of loading rate, plate flexibility, and group action. Finally, those aspects of behavior are used to formulate specific suggestions for future research in this area.
