Abstract:
Presents test data on an organic-based corrosion-inhibiting admixture (OCIA) for reinforced concrete. Data from time-to-corrosion evaluations indicate that exceptional corrosion inhibition is obtained with this admixture. Test data suggest that corrosion protection is obtained through the formation of a protective film at the surface of embedded reinforcing steel and by a reduction in chloride-ion ingress.
