Abstract:
Presents the results of tests of nine reinforced concrete plates, simply supported along four edges and subjected to combined uniform uniaxial compression and uniform transverse loads. The plates had concrete strengths of 32.2 to 40.3 MPa (4670 to 5840 psi) and were reinforced in two layers in each direction. Square plates and rectangular plates with an aspect ratio of 1.5 were tested. The width-to-thickness ratios varied between 27.3 and 33.
