Abstract:
Describes the development of concrete mix designs for offshore platforms used in the North Sea oil fields. Particular attention is given to the constituent materials: condensed silica fume, aggregates, and chemical admixtures (water-reducers, superplasticizers, retarders, and air-entraining agents).
