Abstract:
An inorganic complex alkaline earth silicate admixture for concrete improves durability and corrosion resistance. Test results are presented to demonstrate that this admixture improves these properties of concrete that resist deterioration. Tests for chloride ion penetration, permeability by water and gasoline, surface air flow, freeze-thaw resistance, expansion from alkali-silica reaction, heat of hydration and corrosion of reinforcing steel are presented and discussed.
