Abstract:
Bridges are a vital link in the transportation network of the United States. In order to continue the work on high-performance concrete (HPC) in bridges, the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials Task Force on Strategic Highway Research Program Implementation, in conjunction with the Federal Highway Administration and the Transportation Research Board, established a HPC Lead State Team in 1996 to coordinate the effort. The team’s mission is to promote the implementation of HPC technology for use in highways and highway structures, sharing knowledge, benefits and challenges with other states and customers.
