Abstract:
Cement Specification: We recently received a submittal for a project that indicates the cement proposed for use on the project conforms to ASTM C1157, Type GU. What is the difference between this specification and ASTM C150?
Blue Concrete: I’ve heard that slag cement will produce concrete that is whiter than concrete made with portland cement only. I’ve also heard, however, that concrete containing too much slag cement will have a blue tint to it. What should the maximum amount of slag cement be to avoid the blue tint?
