Abstract:
We placed an industrial floor and had some areas where the concrete surface came off as a result of delaminations 1/8 to 1/4 in. (3 to 6 mm) deep. The owner is now concerned that there are other delaminations that will only become evident after the floor is in service. What are our options for identifying delaminations that are present, but not yet visible on the top surface? It will be much easier to repair these areas before the floor is in service. The job is in a remote area that is far from a population center.
