Abstract:
How F-Numbers are Measured: Floor flatness and levelness for a project we’re building are to be measured in accordance with ASTM E 1155. How is the required testing performed, and is it always done with a DipStick®? Reinforcing a Circular Column: I am an engineer and need to design and detail a circular column. The concrete contractor indicated that he would like to confine the vertical steel with circular ties rather than a spiral. My question is, according to ACI 318, Section 7.10.5.3, do I need to maintain a maximum 6 in. (150 mm) clear spacing between bars in the circular pattern?
