Abstract:
The design for the new Jefferson Hall Library at the U.S. Military Academy in West Point, NY, called for an entryway with three gothic arches, two of which were also curved in plan, framing into a single column on each side. To meet the stringent finish requirements and accommodate the unique geometry of this reinforced concrete entryway, the contractor chose to use self-consolidating concrete and custom formwork produced from fiber-reinforced polymer.
