Abstract:
The influence of the placement process on the properties of fiber-reinforced shotcrete is not well understood. In this study, fiber-reinforced concrete test panels produced using dry- and wet-mix shotcrete processes are compared. Results indicate that for a given water-cementitious material ratio and fiber dosage, dry-mix shotcrete has greater compressive strength, but lower flexural strength and toughness, than wet-mix shotcrete.
