Abstract:
In the National Concrete Canoe Competition, bragging rights don’t always go to the fastest canoe. In addition to earning points for their racing prowess, teams earn points based on judges’ evaluations of their design papers, oral presentations, and workmanship. In the 2006 competition, the University of Wisconsin-Madison team left nothing to chance, doing very well both on and off the water to wrap up their fourth straight first-place finish in the annual competition.
