Abstract:
Relative humidity measurements in concrete can be used to determine when floor coverings can be installed, assess the effectiveness of curing compounds or sealers, or assess internal strains caused by drying, temperature change, or self-desiccation. In this article, the meaning and application of RH measurements in concrete are discussed from a materials science perspective, with the goal of answering some common questions.
