Abstract:
High-volume fly ash (HVFA) concrete offers a simple and cost-effective technology for sustainable development of the concrete industry. This technology is not only environment-friendly, it’s also superior to conventional concrete in workability and durability. As illustrated by the variety of projects discussed, the U.S. experience with structures built using HVFA concrete shows that there are no serious obstacles to its future widespread use.
