Abstract:
The advantages of reinforced concrete as a building material for railway construction are indeed many as compared with its few disadvantages which may more properly be termed its limitations. Where it is possible to use reinforced concrete for a part or all of a railway structure, it is generally of advantage at least in the long run to make use of this practically indestructable material.
