Abstract:
To help meet water quality regulations for discharge into streams, FibraTM Technology Ltd. has developed a filter that has proven effective in several full-scale precast production facilities in Europe. The in-line filter consists of a stainless steel cylinder containing a fiber bundle and a circumferential compression bladder that bears on the fibers. By varying the pressure in the bladder, particle size removal efficiency can be precisely controlled. The fibers also promote efficient gas contact when carbon dioxide is introduced into the water to control pH.
