Abstract:
While the subject allows a wide latitude in its treatment, the author will confine his remarks mainly to pointing out the important part which concrete and cement have palyed in the building of the dry docks of the Navy. Looking back to the early period of our country's naval history, the conditions will be touched upon that gave rise to the construction of the first naval dry docks.
