Abstract:
As the infrastructure of the United States is being more and more rebuilt rather than replaced, the utilization of strengthening technology and strategies is growing. The use of fiber reinforced plastic (FRP) materials has been successfully implemented in a number of projects as part of these new strategies. As codes and standards are being developed, FRP application is gaining considerable acceptance among contractors in the repair and strengthening market.
