            Abstract:
            SP49
Contains a collection of ten state-of-the-art reports written as a guide on the subject of corrosion. Information on procedures to reduce or prevent corrosion can be obtained from this volume. Some of the topics discussed are: mechanisms of corrosion, cathodic protection, corrosion inhibitors, protective coatings, and research still needed. Field experiences for: control of corrosion in offshore structures; shotcrete covercoats for prestressed concrete tanks; effectiveness of concrete cover; selection and use of epoxy and other coatings; and current research results are described.
