Abstract:
Part II focuses on an overview of the design process for architects, engineers, and industrial designers undertaking a concrete design and build project. A building project example begins with a formulation of a design premise. A discussion of what makes concrete visually attractive is presented, along with advice on choosing a contractor. Guidelines for designers are proposed. Two design projects, a building in Chicago and a bridge in Florida, are analyzed.
