Abstract:
European formwork systems that have been introduced into the U.S. have advanced concrete construction methods and reduced construction costs. The beneficial effects of using these systems include: using a limited number of connections, allowing for an increase in the concrete placement rate, requiring less labor for assembly, eliminating the need for wedges or bolts and nuts, using simplified connections, and reducing crane requirements. In this article, the benefits of European formwork systems are explored.
