Abstract:
Ready mixed concrete producers are challenged by the logistics of transporting fresh concrete to the jobsite with the properties or characteristics specified by the design engineer. Besides workability, the concrete has to meet strength and durability requirements. Admixtures, especially high-range water-reducing admixtures (HRWRA), play an important role in producing cost-effective, high-quality, ready mixed concrete. An innovative HRWRA, which combines superior water reduction and workability retention, is now available to assist ready mixed concrete suppliers with total performance control of their concrete’s properties.
