Abstract:
Deals with the behavior of fiber reinforced concretes (FRC) made with rapid-setting cements and fibers. Variables discussed include cement type, fiber type, fiber volume fraction, and behavior under compression and flexure. Load-deformation behavior and toughness characteristics are examined. In general, FRC made with rapid-setting cements behaves similarly to FRC made with normal portland cement; however, the available results are limited and many variables have yet to be investigated.
