Abstract:
The versatility, economy, watertightness, and long-term durability of post-tensioned (PT) concrete make it ideal for "environmental structures." Because of these and other advantages, PT concrete is gaining popularity among owners and engineers who are interested in new solutions to an old problem-leaking, maintenance-laden tanks. This article describes a number of environmental structures designed using PT concrete. We will also discuss in this article the PT concrete environmental structures built in China.
