Abstract:
Concrete developed for slabs on ground has unique requirements that are different from concrete developed for a structural column, a suspended reinforced slab, a parking structure, or a pavement exposed to the elements. In fact, many of the material and performance characteristics that are desirable in structural and exterior concrete can be detrimental to the production of quality concrete slabs on ground. This article will outline the requirements for quality concrete specific to slabs on ground.
