Abstract:
U.S. Army Corps of Engineers methods of design of portland cement stabilized base courses under flexible and rigid airfield pavements are presented. Included are criteria for gradation requirements, selection of design cement content, and strength and durability requirements. Methods for determination of the design thickness of the stabilized base course and development and limitations of some of the design procedures are discussed.
