Abstract:
Concrete for pavements, both for highways and airport runways, is frequently specified and evaluated by the flexure strength test, a measurement of the modulus of rupture. ACI Committee 214, Evaluation of Results of Tests to Determine Concrete Strength, is looking into the characteristics of that test in order to recommend guidelines for its use.
