Abstract:
A reliable estimate of location and quantities of delaminations is critical to effective and economical repair and rehabilitation of structures. Various techniques available for detecting corrosion-induced delaminations are described. Several of the techniques have limited performance history and therefore the users need to carefully weigh the advantages and limitations. Simplicity, efficiency, and economy should be the basic criteria in the selection of a suitable technique for detecting corrosion-induced delaminations.
