Abstract:
Although sound and retaining walls are popping up every day across the U.S., there is no reason for these barriers to look “everyday.” More often than not, plain concrete and typical textures are being replaced by extraordinary creations, resulting in more attractive walls for highways, neighborhoods, beaches, and parks. Form liners made of elastomeric urethane are attached to forms and concrete is placed against the liner. The liner pattern is transferred into the wet concrete. After the concrete has cured, the liner is stripped and the unique sculpture is exposed for all to see.
