When preparing construction documents for concrete slabs that will receive moisturesensitive floor coverings, specifiers must consider both the benefits and liabilities of any decisions they make regarding: - Vapor retarders - Concrete materials and properties - Concrete surface properties - Protection of the floor surface The decisions require compromises--as do most design decisions.
