Abstract:
A tubular grip utilizing type metal to hold the prestressing wires is described. Other equipment includes a framework against which the prestressing force is applied and adjustable formwork for experimental beams. The equipment is so simple that it can be easliy and inexpensively built to permit study of prestressed reinforced concrete in the small laboratory.
