Abstract:
Problems associated with concreting in hot environments have been recognized in Israel since the late 1950s, and dealt with in a considerable number of studies at the National Building Research Institute in Haifa (formerly Building Research Station). Several of these studies yielded data concerning the effects of admixtures and supplementary cementitious materials on fresh concrete properties. Based on the research cited, we can conclude that the use of admixtures and supplementary cementitious materials can be beneficial during hot-weather concreting.
