Abstract:
Concrete construction can result in products that provide the desired service for the intended service life if the specifications are followed correctly. Unsatisfactory performance can occur if the specifications are not followed or are incorrect. The relevant question is, how much effort, if any, should be made to verify that what is done and what is provided on the job are what is called for in the specification? It is prudent for contractors to set standards for quality verification.
