Abstract:
The amount of water (measured as mass in kilograms or pounds) introduced at the concrete mixer, to be a part of a batch of concrete, has long been recognized as usually being either a smaller or larger quantity than the amount given by the numerator in the expression w/cm (formerly w/c). This ratio is cited as a defining characteristic of the concrete.
