Abstract:
You are reviewing a project and something just does not feel right with the design? You perform some quick hand or spreadsheet calculations and there appears to be a difference in order of magnitude? When you question the engineer who developed the design, he points to a massive amount of computer output stating, unequivocally, “that’s what the computer gave me” (as if it is God sent). This article discusses some of the problems engineers face with computer output.
