Abstract:
A 2500-car, six-level, 120,000 ft2 (11,000 m2) per level parking structure at San Diego State Universityrecently completed by Morley Construction Co., San Diego, Calif.is believed to have been the most quickly erected cast-in-place concrete parking structure ever for its size. The garage’s five levels above slab-on-grade were built in only 20 weeks, on a rigorous one 30,000- ft2 (2800 m2) quadrant a week cycle, without slipping a day. This article discusses this project.
