Abstract:
From its inception, Atlanta Bonded Warehouse Corp. (ABW) has pushed to improve its food-handling facilities and operations with each new warehouse or expansion. Thus, when selected by ABW to provide consulting and construction assistance for the expansion of an existing Kennesaw, Ga., distribution center, Lockwood Greene Engineers and Architects opted for a state-of-the-art design that would better accommodate the many specialized functions to be served by the distribution center. Although the project has many special features, the unique light-reflective floor with up to 320 ft (97.5 m) between joints and no open joints or significant cracks, sets it apart from other facilities of this type.
